The Booker Flowers and Gifts Team want to say a massive THANK YOU for supporting them at their Christmas Floral Demonstration Charity Evening and Gift Bazaar which was held on 17th November at Bridge Chapel, Heath Road to support Marie Curie (Woolton) and Strawberry Fields - Steps to Work.
Booker Flowers and Gifts raised an amazing £2,084 which was split between Marie Curie (Woolton) and Strawberry Fields, who were both in attendance and who got up on stage to thank everyone.
As well as raising lots of money for these two worthy charities, everyone enjoyed the festive evening with food and drinks and three professional Christmas floristry demonstrations. Together with fabulous local stalls which had some beautiful handcrafted unique "not on the high street" Christmas gifts.
Stallholders included Sean Webster Illustrations, Andrew Kenwright Author, Dee Wood Jewellery, Ginger Roots Candles, Jane from Tropic, Jo from Bodyshop, Donna Mooney Art, Emma from Aloe, Terri Ann Makes and Artist, Paul Alexander. With all stallholders donating a gift towards the prize draw which was held at the end of the night.
The evening was themed around Strictly Come Dancing and the three floral demonstrations that took place included Fleur making a Glitter Ball, A large Fan, and a Dancer's Dress.
The three floral pieces were then put into the prize draw which was held at the end of the night. With Strawberry Fields winning the largest item, which they said they would put in their reception area.
The floral demonstrations were filmed, so if you want to see the fabulous creations, made by Fleur then visit our YouTube Channel to see her in action.
Everyone said they had a great time including Charles, who emailed a lovely review the following day:
"Just wanted to say a massive thank you to you and all the rest of the Booker Flowers crew for a really enjoyable evening last night. Lilian wanted to attend the event for I think you know how much she loves and respects Booker Flowers and so asked me to accompany her. I am so glad I did for the presentations by Fleur were magnificent and it was also lovely to see and support so many local businesses as well as the two main charities
It is never an easy thing hosting and running such an event but you all did it with great professionalism and a great warmth and welcoming spirit which clearly shone through as did the camaraderie amongst you all. So for that a massive well done and congratulations to you all.
Thanks again Gemma for you all worked so incredibly hard to make it such a wonderful event and evening. Charles"
Booker Flowers and Gifts want to thank everyone who attended, was a stallholder, or who donated. You should all be proud that you helped raise over £2,000! The charities are so amazed at what was achieved in just one night.
